Nat woke up near dawn this morning and started counting 1 to 10 to himself!!! But he missed out number 7. I think he does not know how to pronounce it yet [2 syllables) or maybe the sheep has gone missing??!!
Then he snuggled up next to me and shared my blanket ........ so warm and sweet :)

Changi Airport Dinner
8 July 2007.
2 families went to the airport for dinner. Shirley Sarah and Christina's families decided to eat at the staff canteen at the airport. We had the usual satays, rice etc.
We headed down to the departure hall for a little walk and we found a "little garden" just at the side of the hall.

Our brekkie with Charlie (that's Uncle Charlie for you Nat!)
3 July 2007.
Charlie and Lisa flew into Singapore for a few days as Charlie had to teach at the MBA course for UWA. They were all enroute to the UK after that. This was a perfect time for us to meet as we had not caught up for a long time. We were fortunate enough to meet them for Brekkie at thei hotel, Park Royal at Coleman Street. Their kids have really shot up. Anna and Andrew are so gorgeous!
Nat, Uncle Charlie and I met studying together for our MBA in Perth. We had been in project groups at least 3 times as we all worked well together. We were an efficient lot I must say as working in some groups were just not productive at all!! But with Charlie and a few of us, it was great!! Here are some photos which was taken that day!

Guess who was a heart breaker??
1 July 2007.
We had a bible study group gathering after such a long break. We don't meet up for sessions anymore. Guess due to people's schedules and all, but we are all still good friends. We had a dinner gathering at the Bukit Timah area. It was great to meet up again. Ken and Sonia brought their 4 kids, as did Helena bring her son. But guess who was breaking the girl's hearts? They wanted to carry him and all! Nat enjoyed himself tremendously, running around with them, falling a few times...... but hey, he needs the practice to chase the women right?????? hehehehhehe.

Witnessing Uncle Dan and Auntie Zoe's wedding
Nathaniel's first visit to St. Mary of the Angels church in Bukit Batok was to witness his parent's good friend's wedding. Mummy was helping out at the reception and Daddy read the second reading. The lunch reception was fun too as there was a band playing and Nat sure enjoyed the music. It was great to be amongst our church friends! Here are some pictures of Nat.

Conversation with our darling!
Mummy : What is your name?
Son : Nat Nat!
Daddy : How old are you?
Son : Tuuu!
Sometimes we need to coax him to say these, but we really get the kick out of it. He is able to say "apple", "por por", "dee dee" (daddy), "maaa - meee" (mummy), "bread", "sit", "eat", "walk walk" - one of his favourite - and i think a few more words here and there. He does go on his bout of baby language or gibberish. But it is so cute to see him trying to tell you something, with hand gestures and all. Such a darling.
Its amazing how fast Nathaniel is growing. He was a mere 50cm in length and now he is at least double in height. He is so adorable now.
But of course there are times when he just drives you nuts!! He is able to throw tantrums once in a blue moon. And that really zaps us. And he tries to test us. But well, we have to learn to be able to strike a balance I guess!

VOGUE!!
Happy Mother's Day!!
Golden arches!
12 May 2007.
You know what Ben does for a living right?? He works for a pharmaceutical MNC which has a drug targeting obesity. We all know what fast food is like. It can be fattening. And their marketing is so good that even a child at 2 years old can recognise the golden arches and old Ronnie.
Today, we decided to head down to the nearest golden arches for brekkie. And look what Nat was enjoying. He was sharing daddy and mummy's hot cakes and big breakfast. Nat was only 20 mths old then and he can feed himself, of course with a little guidance from his parents!!
Such a darling he is!
Nat and caps!!
12 May 2007. Nat hates anything on him!! Caps, necklaces etc. We had to slowly train him to wear a cap. Even his Daddy had to wear caps so that Nat would follow......Finally we managed to get him to pose in a cap with us! By the way, do check out the camo bermudas father and son were sporting! For the record, Daddy bought Nat's camo berms all the way from the USA!! Cool dudes man!!

SENTOSA again???
Hahahahaha.... imagine daddy half running, half walking back from the show to set up the cake for Yi Yi. The family celebrated her birthday in advance at Sentosa!
The next day, we all went on the LUGE. Too bad Nat Nat did not meet the height requirements, but Daddy and Mummy did enjoy themselves thoroughly!!

SENTOSA revisited
Musical fountain, lasers and fireworks!
Well, that is a new attraction at Sentosa. Just some time back, they closed down the free musical fountain show. They then built a new outdoor theatre etc. spending a couple of million dollars. They then charge SGD 6 a ticket to see the show. Daddy was ok with it, but Mummy felt that it was not worth the money as it was too short. But Daddy argued that the use of fireworks was expensive. But Nat, you were such a scaredy cat!! I guess it was the loud bangs, hot fire etc. that got you afraid. Daddy had to bring you too the back to watch the show, and even that, you were close to tears!! Daddy will have to bring you to more fireworks displays!! Maybe National Day???

Sentosa with the Shirley's sisters and families
Nat, your Mommy arranged a stay over at sentosa for your aunties and uncles!! 30 April to 1 May 2007. I think it was fun for you as you were exposed to many things during the stay.
We started with a dip in the pool with your daddy and cousins!!! (Rasa Sentosa).

Then it was on to making sand castles. We tried, but we did not do a very good job at it!. Nevermind, at least you got to walk on the sand, which you did not like in the beginning!! Be a man!!

Your aunties and wai po relaxing as they watched their kids and men in their life build sand castles!

Taking a minute or two in the room to catch up on some work..... Hey Nat, you need to keep this up...... a banker in the making perhaps? Or a CEO of an MNC........ follow your heart, my man!
